2012 SESSION
WHEREAS, Allison R. Lineberry has devoted many hours to serving the people of Buchanan County as a dedicated volunteer with the COPE Food Pantry; and
WHEREAS, Allison Lineberry has worked at the food bank for 14 years; she has been instrumental in the monthly effort to coordinate COPE Food Pantry’s delivery of food to needy residents in all parts of Buchanan County; and
WHEREAS, with the enthusiastic encouragement and support of her family, Allison Lineberry has worked tirelessly at the COPE Food Pantry, demonstrating tremendous compassion to all those who seek the food pantry’s services; and
WHEREAS, in addition to helping to meet the physical needs of the people who use the COPE Food Pantry, Allison Lineberry has been a leader in attending to their spiritual needs, selflessly giving of her time and energies to tend to those in need; and
WHEREAS, the vision, leadership, and commitment that Allison Lineberry has given to the COPE Food Pantry have been invaluable in assuring that the group continues to provide food for the more than 100 families in Buchanan County that it currently assists; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend an outstanding volunteer and advocate for Buchanan County’s neediest citizens, Allison R. Lineberry; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Allison R. Lineberry as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect and admiration for her work to help feed the hungry in her community.
