A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 29.1-200.1 and to repeal § 29.1-209 of the Code of Virginia, relating to the authority of conservation police officers.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 29.1-200.1 as follows:

 § 29.1-200.1. Authority of conservation police officers.

No provision of this title shall be construed to give conservation police officers the authority to stop a person for the purpose of determining compliance with the laws, rules, and regulations of the Commonwealth or its localities without reasonable suspicion of criminal activity.

2.  That § 29.1-209 of the Code of Virginia is repealed.
