Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  § 1. That, notwithstanding the provisions of § 22.1-253.13:1 of the Code of Virginia, the Board of Education shall only require Standards of Learning [ assessments ] for the third grade in the areas of math and English.
