HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 33
Commending Kristin Harter and Emily Seibert.

WHEREAS, Kristin Harter and Emily Seibert won the 2011 girls doubles tennis title in district and regional championship matches, and then continued their victory march by winning the 2011 Virginia High School League Group AA state doubles title; and

WHEREAS, Kristin Harter and Emily Seibert of Hidden Valley High School played in the River Ridge District championship match against Cave Spring High School, and the Hidden Valley High School pair won in straight sets (6 - 1, 6 - 1); and

WHEREAS, in state championship competition, the winning duo of Kristin Harter and Emily Seibert of Roanoke County handily defeated a team from York High School with a score of 6 - 1, 6 - 3; and

WHEREAS, the success of Kristin Harter and Emily Seibert contributed to the tennis team’s second 2011 Group AA state championship under the leadership of coach Tommy George, the 2011 All-River Ridge District girls tennis Coach of the Year; and

WHEREAS, Kristin Harter was honored in 2011 as the All Timesland Player of the Year and All-River Ridge District Girls Tennis Player of the Year; Emily Seibert was named to the girls tennis All District first team, and to the All Timesland second team; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Kristin Harter and Emily Seibert of Roanoke County for their district, regional, and state championship victories as tennis doubles partners; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare copies of this resolution for presentation to Kristin Harter and Emily Seibert as an expression of the General Assembly’s admiration and congratulations.
