Celebrating the life of Bishop Anthony E. Moses.

WHEREAS, Bishop Anthony E. Moses, a funeral home executive and the founder of Trinity Fellowship Association and New Discipleship Worship Cathedral in Chesapeake, died on November 10, 2011; and

WHEREAS, a man of deep faith, Bishop Anthony Moses founded Trinity Fellowship Association and New Discipleship Worship Cathedral to provide local residents a place to worship and grow in their faith; and

WHEREAS, a gifted orator, Bishop Moses offered inspiring messages to the congregations that awakened their spirits and encouraged them to reach out to one another and the community; and

WHEREAS, no stranger to serving others, Bishop Moses served as a funeral home executive, providing thoughtful guidance and direction as to how best to meet the needs of those suffering from loss; and

WHEREAS, devoted to his family, Bishop Anthony Moses will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife of 30 years, Pastor Dennice Moses; five daughters, Sherquita, Maysunn, Angelnique, Aleseus, and Delia, and their families; and numerous other family members, friends, and members of his congregation; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of an admired spiritual leader, Bishop Anthony E. Moses; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Bishop Anthony E. Moses as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect for his memory.
