2012 SESSION
WHEREAS, Charles Richard Foxx, Jr., a devoted family man and hardworking member of the business community, passed away on June 9, 2011; and
WHEREAS, a native of Tuskegee, Alabama, Charles Foxx graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, received a degree from Norfolk State University, and earned a degree in clinical psychology from Kansas State College; and
WHEREAS, Charles Foxx, who worked in real estate and was a property management specialist in Norfolk, focused on providing quality customer service and helping people find the perfect home; he retired from the Foxx Real Estate firm in 2008; and
WHEREAS, as a member of First Baptist Church, Charles Foxx enjoyed the worship and fellowship found there, receiving comfort and spiritual direction alongside fellow members of the congregation; and
WHEREAS, a man of many interests, Charles Foxx enjoyed photography and sports; it is no surprise that his favorite collegiate sports team was the Norfolk State Spartans; he also was a fan of the Miami Dolphins of the NFL and baseball’s New York Mets; and
WHEREAS, Charles Foxx leaves behind many beloved family members and numerous friends to cherish his memory; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of a respected citizen and loving husband, Charles Richard Foxx, Jr.; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Charles Richard Foxx, Jr., as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect for his memory.
