2012 SESSION
WHEREAS, Shane Wolfe, the beloved principal of Bailey’s Elementary School for the Arts and Sciences in Falls Church, received the 2010 - 2011 School Bell Award from the Virginia Association of Elementary School Principals; and
WHEREAS, the School Bell Award recognizes those school-based administrators who have made significant contributions to their school, school system, state association, national association, or other educational organization; and
WHEREAS, an innovative leader committed to creating positive learning environments for students and fostering professional development opportunities for educators, Shane Wolfe has also worked on several initiatives that link local businesses with Fairfax County Public Schools; and
WHEREAS, Shane Wolfe has earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues for his work as president of the Fairfax Association of Elementary School Principals, at-large member of the board of directors of the Virginia Association of Elementary School Principals, and active member of the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP); and
WHEREAS, Shane Wolfe works diligently to incorporate best practices that will benefit students’ learning and encourages teachers to work collaboratively to enhance the educational experience of Fairfax County elementary school students; and
WHEREAS, a NAESP certified principal mentor, Shane Wolfe generously shares his experiences and expertise with other elementary school principals in Fairfax County and across the nation; and
WHEREAS, throughout his career, Shane Wolfe has demonstrated an unfailing commitment to the children he serves and is a worthy recipient of the 2010 - 2011 School Bell Award; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Shane Wolfe on his selection as the Virginia Association of Elementary School Principals 2010 - 2011 School Bell Award winner; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Shane Wolfe as an expression of the General Assembly’s congratulations and gratitude for his commitment to the children of Fairfax County.
