Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 23-9.2:3.04 as follows:

§ 23-9.2:3.04. Post-graduation employment rates.

Prior to August 1, 2013, each public institution and each private nonprofit institution of higher education eligible to participate in the Tuition Assistance Grant Program shall publish, on its website and in its annual catalog, data on the proportion of its graduates with employment at 18 months and five years after the date of graduation. The data shall include the program and the program level, as recognized by the State Council of Higher Education, for each degree awarded by the institution and shall, at a minimum, include the rate of employment, the percentage of employment in the Commonwealth, the percentage of employment that is full time, the average salary, and the average higher education-related debt of graduates. The published data shall meet the standards set forth by the State Council of Higher Education and shall be reported consistent with the Government Data Collection and Dissemination Practices Act (§ 2.2-3800 et seq.) and the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
