SUMMARY AS PASSED:

Nursing homes; information regarding family councils.  Provides that the State Board of Health shall require each nursing home and certified nursing facility to, upon the request of the facility's family council, send notices and information about the family council mutually developed by the family council and the administration to the listed responsible party or a contact person of the resident's choice up to six times per year and to post notices and information in a designated location within the nursing home or certified nursing facility. This bill is identical to HB 1818.

Nursing homes; information regarding family councils. Provides that the State Board of Health shall require each nursing home and certified nursing facility to, upon the request of the facility's family council, send notices and information about the family council prepared by the family council and the facility's administration to the listed responsible party or a contact person of the resident's choice up to six times per year. Such notices may be included together with a monthly billing statement or other regular communication. This bill is identical to HB 1818.

Such notices may be included together with a monthly billing statement or other regular communication sent to a resident's family member or other responsible party.
