SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Memorializing Congress to adopt legislation requiring a balanced federal budget and to call a convention to amend to the Constitution of the United States to require a balanced federal budget. Expresses the General Assembly's support for a balanced federal budget requirement by federal legislation and by an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to promote fiscal integrity at the federal level. This resolution initiates the process to call a convention to amend the Constitution of the United States to add a balanced budget requirement.
