SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Authority to use certain streets and highways; oversize and overweight permits. Provides that the Secretary of Transportation, in consultation with the Commonwealth Transportation Board, will have the authority to limit control for oversize and overweight permitting purposes for certain roads to the Commissioner of the Department of Motor Vehicles. The bill sets out considerations when determining routes to be controlled for permitting purposes.
