SUMMARY AS ENACTED WITH GOVERNOR'S RECOMMENDATION: (all summaries)
Child abduction. Makes it a duty of the Missing Children Information Clearinghouse to maintain close liaison with the National Crime Information Center and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for the exchange of information on children suspected of international travel. Furthermore, the bill makes property owned by a person and used to further the abduction of a child in violation of § 18.2-47 (abduction and kidnapping), 18.2-48 (abduction with intent to extort money or for immoral purposes), or 18.2-48.1 (abduction by prisoners) subject to lawful seizure and forfeiture. This bill is identical to SB 1141.
