SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
State and Local Government Conflict of Interests Act and the General Assembly Conflicts of Interests Act; disclosure of certain professional services income; advocacy. Requires state and local government employees and officials to disclose any compensation received in excess of $1,000 each year for activities undertaken specifically to influence public policy or public opinion in the Commonwealth or elsewhere. Disclosure would be required if the compensation was received by the filer, a member of his immediate family, his associates, his employer, or a business for which the filer or a member of his family is a paid officer or director. The bill also requires the same of General Assembly members under the General Assembly Conflicts of Interests Act.
