SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Regulation of rabies; law-enforcement canines. Provides that no canine used by any law-enforcement agency for law-enforcement purposes shall be quarantined unless such canine is showing active signs of rabies or is suspected of having rabies. The law-enforcement agency must notify the local health director of any abnormal behavior exhibited by the canine and provide the local health director access to the canine for examination at any reasonable time.
