SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Uniform Statewide Building Code; regulations of the Board of Housing and Community Development. Requires the Board of Housing and Community Development to adopt regulations establishing standards requiring existing buildings or facilities to have at least one accessible route connecting accessible parking and accessible passenger loading zones to an accessible entrance of such building or facility. The bill provides that such standards (i) shall apply regardless of the date of construction of the parking lot, loading zone, or building or facility and (ii) may include reasonable exemptions from such requirements as deemed appropriate by the Board.
