HB 2004 Bonds; public notice issued prior to public hearing shall state use of proceeds.

SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:

Bonds; public notice.  Provides that the public notice issued prior to a public hearing held in conjunction with the issuance of bonds shall state the proposed use of the proceeds, and if there is more than one use, state the proposed uses for which more than 10 percent of the total bond proceeds is expected to be used.  In addition, a similar notice shall be provided to voters prior to a referendum involving the issuance of bonds.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Bonds; public notice.  Provides that the public notice issued prior to a public hearing held in conjunction with the issuance of bonds shall state with specificity the use of the proceeds, and if there is more than one use, state all uses for which greater than 10 percent of the total bond authority is sought and the amounts associated with each use.
