SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Insurance fraud. Clarifies that the definition of "insurer" includes self-insured private and public employers for the purposes of the Department of State Police's investigation of insurance fraud, including who is entitled to protection from immunity for furnishing information to State Police as part of its investigation. The bill states that it is declarative of existing law.
