SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Regulation of surgical procedures; circulator duties. Provides that the Board of Health shall promulgate regulations that require that for surgical procedures performed in hospitals, operating room circulator duties related to coordination of nursing care, patient safety procedures, and procedures necessary for the support and safety of the surgical team shall be performed by a registered nurse who is qualified by training in operating room nursing and circulator duties and who is present in the operating room during the surgical procedure.
