SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Freedom of Information Act; violations and penalties. Doubles the civil penalties imposed for willful and knowing violations of FOIA. The bill also clarifies existing law that officers, employees, and members of public bodies may be subject to the civil penalties for knowing and willful violations of FOIA.

Freedom of Information Act; violations and penalties. Provides that public employees may be terminated or otherwise disciplined for knowing and willful violations of FOIA. The bill also clarifies existing law that officers, employees, and members of public bodies may be subject to civil penalties for knowing and willful violations of FOIA.
