WHEREAS, in 2011 Corbin Alexander Anglin, an accomplished sophomore at Open High School and resident of Richmond, will be recognized as an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America; and
WHEREAS, a native of Florida, Corbin Anglin was born on January 7, 1995, and is the son of Tracy L. King and David Hooper; and
WHEREAS, diagnosed with sickle cell anemia at an early age, Corbin Anglin has endured numerous, lengthy hospital stays, but has never let his condition prevent him from achieving his goals; and
WHEREAS, an exceptional student, Corbin Anglin pursues educational opportunities at Open High School in Richmond and at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, where he takes college level courses; and
WHEREAS, recognized for his excellent academic performance, Corbin Anglin served as a Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Conference delegate; and
WHEREAS, with a lifelong love of baseball, Corbin Anglin has enjoyed playing on teams in the Richmond Little League for five years; and
WHEREAS, committed to the ideals and creed of the Boy Scouts of America, Corbin Anglin has shown dedication in his pursuits and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly commend Corbin Alexander Anglin on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Corbin Alexander Anglin as an expression of the General Assembly’s congratulations on his achievement and best wishes for his future endeavors.
