11100636DBe it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 1 of Chapter 9.3 of Title 24.2 a section numbered 24.2-945.3 as follows:
§ 24.2-945.3. Unlawful conversion of campaign contributions to personal use.
It shall be unlawful for any person to convert to his personal use, at any time, any moneys, securities, or like intangible personal property that has been contributed to any candidate, candidate campaign committee, political action committee, political party committee, referendum committee, or inaugural committee. A violation of this section shall be subject to the penalty provisions of subsection C of § 24.2-953 and § 24.2-1017.
