Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 54.1-404.01 as follows:

§ 54.1-404.01. Regulations; errors and omissions insurance policy for certain licensees.

The Board shall, by regulation, require each architect or professional engineer to maintain an errors and omissions policy that is acceptable to the Board and to provide a certification or attestation that such policy is in effect as a prerequisite to license issuance or renewal.
