HOUSE BILL NO. 1993 AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by the House Committee for Courts of Justice on January 31, 2011) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Delegate Janis) A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 46.2-867.1, relating to recklessly violating a traffic light.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 46.2-867.1 as follows:

§ 46.2-867.1. Recklessly violating a traffic light.

Any person who drives a motor vehicle in violation of § 46.2-833 is guilty of reckless driving.
