Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 2.2-4311.3 as follows:

§ 2.2-4311.3. Required contract provisions for state agencies; participation in E-Verify program.

All state agencies shall include in every contract of more than $50,000 a provision requiring the contractor to use the E-Verify program for employees [ hired on or after the date of the contract ] who will be performing work under the [ ocntract contract ] within the Commonwealth.
