When a governing body subject to this section votes to adopt a comprehensive plan, pursuant to § 15.2-2226 of the Code of Virginia as amended, the governing body shall also be required to vote to readopt all of the locality's zoning ordinances. Such readoption shall be done in conjunction with the public hearing held pursuant to subsection B of this section.
