SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)
Advance Health Care Directive Registry. Eliminates the requirement that an advance directive or revocation of an advance directive be notarized before being submitted to the Advance Health Care Directive Registry. This provision will not go into effect until the Advance Health Care Directive Registry is created. This bill also requires the Commissioner of Health to work together with the Department for the Aging, Department of Health Professions, Bureau of Insurance, Virginia State Bar and other stakeholders to develop and implement a plan for informing the public about the availability of the Advance Health Care Directive Registry. This bill contains an emergency clause.
