SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
Electronic summons system; fees. Allows cities and counties to assess a fee not to exceed $3 as part of the costs in each criminal or traffic case to be used solely for an electronic summons system. The bill also allows counties and cities operating a combined courthouse that is not in compliance with safety and security guidelines and cannot feasibly be renovated to assess not more than $3 in court costs for certain cases.
