SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Constitutional amendment (first resolution); recall of Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, or General Assembly member. Requires the filing of a petition signed by qualified voters equaling at least 25 percent of the number of votes cast in the last election for the office to initiate the recall of the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, or General Assembly member. The amendment further provides for the holding of an election to recall the officer, an election to replace a recalled officer, and further implementation by the General Assembly to cover local officers.
