SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Unlawful entry into a motor vehicle; penalties. Makes it a Class 1 misdemeanor for a person to enter or remain within a motor vehicle knowing that he does not have the permission of an owner, a lessee, or an authorized operator. A third or subsequent offense is a Class 5 felony. There are exceptions for law-enforcement officers, lien holders, and persons removing abandoned vehicles.
