SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Regulation of private and out-of-state institutions of higher education; exemptions. Clarifies that the definition of "vocational" shall not include instructional programs intended solely for recreation, enjoyment, personal interest, or as a hobby, or courses or programs that prepare individuals to teach such pursuits. This bill is identical to SB 598 (Herring).
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Regulation of private and out-of-state institutions of higher education; exemptions. Exempts any yoga teacher training program that notifies the SCHEV that it shall provide a disclosure statement to all prospective students before enrollment that indicates the curriculum standards used, including any program certification, if any.
