SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
COBRA continuation coverage. Requires small employers providing group health insurance coverage to offer to certain employees whose employment is involuntarily terminated the option to continue their coverage for any additional period, extending beyond the nine months of COBRA continuation coverage that is currently required, as may be specified by future amendments to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The measure will take effect upon its passage.
