SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Credit for telephone service outage. Requires each telephone company to provide a credit to subscribers affected by any service outage that exceeds four continuous hours. For outages of between four and 48 hours, the credit is equal to one-thirtieth of the monthly charge per 24-hour period during which the service outage continues beyond four hours. For outages of longer than 48 hours, the credit is equal to one half of the applicable monthly charge for each 24-hour period during which the service outage continues beyond four hours.
