HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 66 Commending INC.spire, the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce business incubator program, on the occasion of its 10th anniversary.

WHEREAS, INC.spire, the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce business incubator program, is recognized for its support of emerging businesses and its many contributions to the community of Reston and Fairfax County; and

WHEREAS, INC.spire was established in November 1999, and over the next 10 years, the company has fostered businesses in various industries with a success rate of 95.7 percent; and

WHEREAS, INC.spire acts as a catalyst for qualified, fast-growing businesses and has had 45 companies graduate from the company’s exemplary business incubator program; and

WHEREAS, INC.spire graduate businesses have generated more than $45 million in market value and equity, created more than 450 local professional full-time positions, occupied more than 80,000 square feet in professional office space in Fairfax County, and contributed to the region’s economic growth and prosperity; and

WHEREAS, INC.spire graduate businesses have increased diversity in the Fairfax County business community with more than 38 percent of the companies owned by women or minorities; and

WHEREAS, INC.spire’s unique partnership with the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce provides clients with access to the Chamber’s vast business connections in the vibrant and growing Dulles Business Corridor and its thousands of experienced professionals; and

WHEREAS, INC.spire and its staff are committed to continuing the company’s great success, helping businesses flourish and become high-growth, job-oriented, high-technology, and professional industries representative of the Greater Reston and Fairfax County business community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend and congratulate INC.spire, the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce business incubator program, on the occasion of its 10th anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to representatives of INC.spire and the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce as an expression of the General Assembly’s admiration for the organization’s many accomplishments and contributions to the Greater Reston and Fairfax County business community.
