HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 442 Commending Ben David Jewelers.

WHEREAS, Ben David Jewelers of Danville was named a 2009 America’s Best Jeweler in the Couture Category by National Jeweler magazine; and

WHEREAS, Ben David Jewelers, owned by brothers Mark and Leon David, offers customers a high quality selection of diamonds and other fine jewelry in an elegantly comfortable environment; and

WHEREAS, the prestigious award reflects not only the caliber of merchandise offered but Ben David Jewelers’ commitment to its employees, customers, and community; and

WHEREAS, many of Ben David Jewelers’ employees give back to the community through involvement in such organizations as the Boys and Girls Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, and the United Way; and

WHEREAS, Ben David Jewelers regularly holds charitable events at the store, including auctions to raise funds for the United Way; and

WHEREAS, the 2009 America’s Best Jeweler in the Couture Category by National Jeweler magazine recognition came as Ben David Jewelers celebrated its 50th anniversary of providing quality merchandise and extraordinary service to its customers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly commend Ben David Jewelers on its recognition as a 2009 America’s Best Jeweler in the Couture Category by National Jeweler magazine; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Ben David Jewelers as an expression of the General Assembly’s congratulations and best wishes for continued success.
