Commending Ron Meadows.

WHEREAS, Ron Meadows recently received a certificate of appreciation from Danville’s American Legion Post 325 for his many years of service to the Post and community; and

WHEREAS, Ron Meadows has been a member of Post 325 for 20 years and has worked with great enthusiasm and commitment to help the Post in its community service and veterans assistance efforts; and

WHEREAS, Ron Meadows has generously given of his time and talents as past Post commander and past 6th District commander; he currently serves as the Western Area chairman of the Jr. Shooters program; and

WHEREAS, for Ron Meadows, the American Legion and Post 325 are a family affair; his wife, Pat, is a past Post commander; his son, Barry, is the squadron commander; his son-in-law, Ray, is a past Post commander, and Ron’s daughter and granddaughter are members of Post 325; and

WHEREAS, devoted to his family, community, and country, Ron Meadows serves as an exemplary role model for all; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly commend Ron Meadows for his service to American Legion Post 325; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Ron Meadows as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect and admiration for his work to make his community and country a better place.
