2010 SESSION
WHEREAS, Robert Christopher Trani of Rockbridge County, a respected citizen and valued community volunteer, is recognized for his outstanding contributions to his community and fellow residents; and
WHEREAS, Robert “Bob” Trani is well-known in the Lexington community for his involvement in various community service organizations; and
WHEREAS, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1499, Bob Trani has served as the Post’s representative to the City of Lexington and Rockbridge County since 2001; and
WHEREAS, as a member of the VFW, Bob Trani works diligently before every Memorial Day and Labor Day to arrange for speeches by various community leaders during public ceremonies; and
WHEREAS, committed to the growth and prosperity of his community, Bob Trani has also generously given of his time and talents to the Lexington Downtown Development Association (LDDA) and Lexington Chamber of Commerce, where he served as the liaison with the LDDA and VFW Post 1499; and
WHEREAS, Bob Trani has also volunteered with the Effinger Volunteer Fire Department, as the Lime Kiln Theater beverage manager, and at LDDA Fridays Alive/Lexington Alive events; and
WHEREAS, Bob Trani practices his faith through his actions and as a faithful and active member of Collierstown Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS, a devoted family man, Bob Trani enjoys spending time with his loving wife of 20 years, Valerie, his two daughters, and two grandchildren; he also spends time drawing, painting, and cooking; and
WHEREAS, a man of great integrity, Bob Trani has devoted countless hours to serving his community with dedication and passion and serves as an outstanding role model for all; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly commend Robert Christopher Trani for his service to the Rockbridge County community; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Robert Christopher Trani as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect and appreciation for his efforts on behalf of his fellow residents.
