HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 397 Offered March 4, 2010 Commending Cindee Cordova. ---------- Patrons-- Lingamfelter, Athey and Cole; Senators: Stuart and Vogel ----------

WHEREAS, Cindee Cordova of the Cedar Run District of Fauquier County was honored as a 2009 Citizen of the Year by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors; and

WHEREAS, a longtime resident of Fauquier County, Cindee Cordova is an admired and respected business leader in the community; and

WHEREAS, Cindee Cordova generously gives of her time and talents to various organizations and charitable events in Fauquier County; and

WHEREAS, Cindee Cordova serves as a member of the local social services board, National Republican Committee, and Mount Carmel Baptist Church, where she is known for her commitment to helping others; and

WHEREAS, a passionate and dedicated volunteer, Cindee Cordova also works diligently in the community to promote a variety of charitable events; and

WHEREAS, committed to making a difference in her community, Cindee Cordova is an outstanding role model and inspires others to volunteer and make Fauquier County a safer, friendlier, and more pleasant place in which to live; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly commend and congratulate Cindee Cordova as a 2009 Fauquier County Citizen of the Year for the Cedar Run District; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Cindee Cordova as an expression of the General Assembly’s gratitude for her dedication to the community of Fauquier County.
