Commending Elisa Lueck.

WHEREAS, Elisa Lueck has ably served her community and fellow citizens during her term on the City of Fairfax School Board; and

WHEREAS, a resident of the city since 1999, Elisa Lueck has worked effectively with the public, parents, and other school board members to provide the best learning environment for the city’s students; and

WHEREAS, a graduate of Florida International University, Elisa Lueck received a bachelor’s degree in communication and a master’s degree in public administration; and

WHEREAS, a knowledgeable leader, Elisa Lueck brought experience working with youth and Fairfax County government to the school board; and

WHEREAS, Elisa Lueck formerly served as a program administrator of Youth Crime Watch of Miami-Dade County, Florida, a nonprofit, student-led crime prevention program in Miami-Dade County Public Schools; she currently works for Fairfax County; and

WHEREAS, Elisa Lueck has generously given of her time and talents as vice president of activities for the Mosby Woods Community Association and through her involvement in the Parent Teacher Associations of both Providence and Mosby Woods elementary schools; and

WHEREAS, an admired leader, Elisa Lueck worked diligently on behalf of the students of the City of Fairfax school system during her term on the school board; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly commend Elisa Lueck for her outstanding service and devotion as a member of the City of Fairfax School Board; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Elisa Lueck as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect and gratitude for her work on behalf of the children and youth of the City of Fairfax.
