2010 SESSION
WHEREAS, Captain Jabari B. Craddock of Richmond received a prestigious Bronze Star Medal for his meritorious service as a logistical officer during Operation Iraqi Freedom; and
WHEREAS, the Bronze Star Medal is a United States Armed Forces individual military decoration and is awarded for bravery, heroism, or meritorious service; and
WHEREAS, Captain Craddock, a member of the 30th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 30th Heavy Brigade Combat Team, serves as the logistics officer for Task Force Bayonet and as the Task Force’s Unit Movement Officer; and
WHEREAS, Captain Craddock is responsible for the timely resupply of material and ammunition, movement of equipment, maintenance, repair parts, building supplies, fuel, and clothing; and
WHEREAS, hard-working and committed to excellence, Captain Craddock works 12- to 14-hour days to keep the combat operations personnel properly supplied and to keep his superiors informed; and
WHEREAS, the Bronze Star Medal was awarded to Captain Craddock for outstanding performance, expertise, and contributions that were instrumental to the unit’s overall success during combat operations; and
WHEREAS, Captain Craddock’s hard work and dedication in the midst of tense and often dangerous circumstances were an inspiration to his fellow soldiers; and
WHEREAS, Captain Craddock’s exceptional service and devotion to duty and his fellow soldiers is a reminder of the commitment and bravery of the members of our armed forces worldwide; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly commend Captain Jabari B. Craddock on his receipt of the prestigious Bronze Star Medal; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Captain Jabari B. Craddock as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect for his hard work and dedication to the Commonwealth and nation.
