Celebrating the life of Elizabeth Harding LeRoy.

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Harding LeRoy, a loving wife, mother, and beloved and respected citizen of Henrico, died on January 8, 2010; and

WHEREAS, devoted to her family, Elizabeth (Libby) LeRoy married the love of her life, John LeRoy, and together they raised a wonderful family of three daughters and one son; and

WHEREAS, in addition to raising her family, Libby LeRoy worked industriously as a pediatric lab technician for 20 years and as an allergy technician for over 20 years; and

WHEREAS, known for her gentle and genteel spirit, Libby LeRoy delighted in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and beloved friends; and

WHEREAS, Libby LeRoy lived her faith through her actions and as an active volunteer at Christ Church Episcopal; and

WHEREAS, a strong and active woman, Elizabeth LeRoy enjoyed working in her garden in her free time; she was also known as a voracious reader, always looking for the next good book to read; and

WHEREAS, Libby LeRoy will be fondly remembered for her kind and generous nature and will be greatly missed by her loving husband, John B. LeRoy; her three daughters, Margo House, Gail Claus, and Susan Osborn and their families; her son, John B. LeRoy, Jr., and his family; her sister, Mary Ann Moran and her family; and numerous friends and admirers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly mourn the passing of a beloved and respected citizen, Elizabeth Harding LeRoy; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Elizabeth Harding LeRoy as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect for her memory.
