VIRGINIA ACTS OF ASSEMBLY -- CHAPTER An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Chapter 1 of Title 40.1 a section numbered 40.1-11.2, relating to participation in E-Verify program. [H 737] Approved

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Chapter 1 of Title 40.1 a section numbered 40.1-11.2 as follows:

§ 40.1-11.2. Participation in E-Verify program.

All agencies of the Commonwealth shall be enrolled in the E-Verify program by December 1, 2012; and on and after December 1, 2012, use the E-Verify program for each newly hired employee who is to perform work within the Commonwealth.
