Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. That portion of U. S. Route 1 in Chesterfield County is hereby designated "Historic Route 1." The Department of Transportation shall place and maintain appropriate markers indicating the designation of this highway. This designation shall not affect any other designation heretofore or hereafter applied to this highway or any portions thereof.
