VIRGINIA ACTS OF ASSEMBLY -- CHAPTER An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 15.2-967.1, relating to local regulation of certain transportation services. [H 507] Approved

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 15.2-967.1 as follows:

§ 15.2-967.1. Regulation of certain transportation services.

A local transportation service that operates as a nonprofit organization and that primarily serves senior citizens and disabled citizens shall be exempted from any local license tax imposed upon taxi cab services and other for-hire transportation services.
