CHAPTER 45 An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Article 15 of Chapter 1 of Title 33.1 a section numbered 33.1-223.2:23, relating to metropolitan planning organizations; membership. [H 1241] Approved March 5, 2010

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 15 of Chapter 1 of Title 33.1 a section numbered 33.1-223.2:23 as follows:

§ 33.1-223.2:23. Metropolitan planning organizations; membership.

Any metropolitan planning organization may vote, upon the prior written authorization of the Governor, to have its membership expanded to include members of the House of Delegates, as selected by the Speaker of the House of Delegates, and members of the Senate, as selected by the Senate Committee on Rules.
