SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
Trespassing vehicle; towing; local ordinances. Provides that local ordinances may require towing and recovery operators to obtain at the time the vehicle is towed, verbal approval of an agent designated in the ordinance. Further provides that local ordinances requiring "second signatures" before trespassing vehicles can be towed away only apply if the tow is performed during the normal business hours of the owner of the property from which the vehicle is towed. This bill is identical to HB 1724.
