SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE: (all summaries)
Power of attorney; tax matters. Requires the Department of Taxation to provide a taxpayer's representative with power of attorney copies of any written correspondence or other written materials that were provided to the taxpayer, and to use the same method of delivery. The Department of Taxation will have until July 1, 2010, to implement these requirements. The bill is contingent on funding being included in the general appropriation act adopted by the 2009 Session of the General Assembly that becomes law.
