Introduced by: Shannon R. Valentine | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Campaign fundraising; special sessions. Requires that contributions greater than $500 received by members of the General Assembly, the Governor, the Lieutenant Governor, and the Attorney General during special sessions of the General Assembly be reported to the State Board or local electoral board within 24 hours. Currently, a total ban on fundraising applies during regular legislative sessions, but not special sessions of the General Assembly. The new reporting requirements are similar to those that apply in the week prior to an election.
