SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Arts and cultural or education districts.  Grants statewide authority for creation of arts and cultural or education districts by localities for the purpose of increasing awareness and support for the arts and culture or education in the locality. Localities may provide incentives for the support and creation of arts and cultural or education venues in the district. Currently, the statute applies only to certain listed localities and does not include education.
