SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Prescription Monitoring Program; disclosure of information. Removes requirement that a prescriber obtain written consent from the recipient of a prescription before requesting information on that recipient for the purpose of establishing his treatment history. However, the bill requires that notice be given to patients that information may be requested by the prescriber from the Prescription Monitoring Program. This bill was incorporated into HB 2211.
