SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)
Contracts; improper use of payment device numbers. Provides that a person who improperly uses payment device numbers may, in a proceeding instituted by the attorney for the Commonwealth, be compelled by injunction, mandamus, or other appropriate remedy to comply with general law relating to the use of payment device numbers. The bill further provides that any person failing, neglecting, or refusting to obey any injunction, mandamus, or other remedy obtained, shall be subject, in the discretion of the court, to a civil penalty not to exceed $1,000 for each violation of the improper use of payment device numbers.
